   We all have a long list of to-dos and tasks to complete at the end of the day. It seems we are all in a constant state of busyness. But this state of constantly doing more can actually lead you off course from your goals and take a toll on you physically, psychologicallly and emotionally. Most of all it can disrupt relationships.  By utilizing a few simple stratagies you can move from a stress filled life to a more balanced lifestyle filled with joy, harmony, and personal development.  

Utilize The 80/20 Rule

   We have all heard of the Pareto Principle, or the 80/20 rule, that 20 percent of your activity produces 80 percent of your income. Which means you should spend 80 percent of your time on the 20 percent of the activities that produce the bulk of your income. So decide what activities take up a lot of your value time and stop doing those and focus on the 20 percent that does. This way you will have more productivity  and less activity or busy work.  

 Learn How To Say No

   This is an important principle to learn. Sometimes we say yes to things that we don't really want to do. Women especially over extend themselves just because they don't want to disappoint friends or family and take on tasks that they don't have the time or energy for. Choose your tasks wisely and don't overcommit. Stand up for yourself and just say NO Thank you. People will learn to respect your time and efforts and you will feel more incontrol of how people treat you.  

 Take Time To Study

   It has been said knowledge is power, but it is just the potential of power. What you choose to do with that knowledge is where the power lies. Learning and not implenting what you have learned is just a lot of material for the brain. While it may be good for answering Jeopardy questions, you really need to learn to act on new information and utilize the power of knowledge.  

 Lack of Consistency

   With  any goal in life you need to have a plan and stick with it. The lack of consistency can disolve your your progress and is the number one reason people don't fullfill their goals. When you go full steam ahead at something you run the risk of burn out. To achieve your goals steady forward progress with a well laid plan will save you from frustration and disappointment.  

 Manage Your Time Well

   How you manage your time and ultimatly your energy can  have a direct affect on your income. Time management is one of lifes more precious commodities and how it is managed can seperate the rich from the poor.  Try and look for ways to get  a better return on energy. If you expend a lot of energy and recieve no joy it will drain you. Find your joy in life and spend more time on that which gives you the energy to accomplish more.  

 Learn To Delegate

   In order to create more time and wealth in your life you need to ask for help. Utilize the power of others to accomplish tasks that need to be done. By delegating tasks to others this will free up your time and skills for more thinking and making decisions, much like a general or a president. Find the highest and best use of your skill and empower others to accomplish what needs to be done.  

 Remember To Take Time Off

   By not taking time to regenerate the mind and body we run the risk of developing depression and  mental health problems. So don't forget to take a vacation.  Especially in the new global economy, where the advantage and future are in the power of knowledge and not labor, the ability to  think and be innovative and productive with our minds. We run the risk of losing our effectiveness and productivity if we don't occasionally find balance in our lives. By taking time off you can create more and achieve more in less time.  The actions you take to empower your life will help you to transform your poductivity , performance and lifestyle. The power is in how you choose to continue.
